What is Chetana?
Chetana is a free AI tool that checks if a call, message, link, photo, or QR code is a scam. It works in 12 Indian languages and is built for everyone — especially elders.
How do I check something?
Step 1: Tap the big red CHECK NOW button on the home screen.
Step 2: Choose what you received — a call, message, link, photo, or QR code.
Step 3: Type it, speak it, or upload a photo.
Step 4: Chetana will show you a result — green (safe), yellow (be careful), or red (danger).
What do the colors mean?
✅ GREEN — Safe. No scam indicators found.
⚠️ YELLOW — Be careful. Some suspicious signs. Do not share personal details.
🚨 RED — Danger! Likely a scam. Do not respond. Block the sender.
What can I check?
📞 Calls — Someone called claiming to be from a bank, police, or government? Record what they said or type it.
💬 Messages — Got a suspicious SMS or WhatsApp message? Paste it here.
🔗 Links — Got a suspicious URL? Paste it and we check if it is a phishing site.
📸 Photos/Videos — Upload a suspicious image to check for deepfakes or manipulation.
📲 QR Codes — Upload a QR code image to check if it leads to a scam site.
What is Parivar (Family)?
Parivar lets you add family members. When Chetana detects a scam, you can alert your family instantly via WhatsApp with one tap.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Chetana processes most scans locally on the device. Your messages, photos, and personal data are not stored on any external server. Family contacts are saved only on your device.
What should I do if I find a scam?
1. Do NOT respond to the scammer.
2. Do NOT share OTP, PIN, Aadhaar, PAN, or bank details.
3. Block the number/sender immediately.
4. Report at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930 (National Cyber Crime Helpline).
5. Alert your family using Chetana's Parivar feature.
